It seems like some people feel entitled to get everything for the purchase price. I guess it really comes down to entitlement. If not, you've still got a complete game. These suits have got to be pretty easy to make, so why not make a bunch and just stick them on the disc? If people want to pay for an extra suit they can do so. People who want to pay a few bucks for this extra, peripheral, content can do so without having to download 2 gigs of data, those who don't want the extra stuff still have a complete game.ĭead Space 2 is an even better example as the DLC in question is just a bunch of extra suits. So instead of taking this content and just throwing it away, they hand it off to someone and say "polish this up and make it stand-alone" then stick it on the disc. Maybe it would have made the game too long, or didn't fit with the overall story they were trying to tell, or would have made the game feel repetitive, etc., etc. So what if the DLC is ready at the time the final game is complete? Again, using Mass Effect 2 as an example, Bioware probably produced tons of content which wasn't included in the final game for one reason or another. I realize it's already on the disc, I just don't see why that's a problem. Click here for a list of other gaming subreddits.
